We repair power tools from all the major manufacturers:Stryker,Conmed,Aesculap,Synthes,AMIS,Bojin,Ruijin and rebuild and remanufacture Large Bone, Small bone, Pistol Grip, Pencil Grip, Electric and Battery Operated tools.

AMIS Orthopedic equipment Solutions performs the following preventative maintenance: 1.Entirely disassemble piece. 2.Discard worn clips, snap rings, fasteners and seals. 3.Submerge, soak and clean in solvent all internal components 4.Wash all components in soap and water. 5.Dry and buff, refurbish on multi grade satin wheels as needed, glass blast all remaining corrosion and rust. 6.Submerge components in 200 degree, high frequency sonic cleaner with ionizing solution for minimum of 20 minutes. 7.Rinse and air blow dry and re-lubricate all components and bearings with appropriate medical grade high temp mineral oils, silicone and lithium based greases. 8.Replace fasteners and seals, re-assemble hand piece. 9.Refurbish stainless steel exteriors with either glass bead blasting, polishing medium or abrasive anodized metal cleaners. 10.Run instrument or accessory in used environment… this means drilling, sawing or function testing in the intended use of the instrument. During this entire process all components are checked for wear and possible tolerance compromises. Digital temperature readings, amperage draws, RPM’s and power frequencies are monitored before, during and after tests to detect possible heat generation and to record all approved specifications. Final step: Autoclave, cool and re-test instrument

3.  Our engineer will do a door-to-door instruction training service at your local site.  We need your help to deal with the visa formality, prepaid traveling expenses and accommodation to us during the business trip and service period before their dispatch.

Loosen the chuck by turning counter clock wise with the drill chuck key; cannulated drill and mirco cannulated drill both including drill bit in the case.

Insert the prepared bit into the three-jaw hole. Turn the drill chuck key clockwise and tighten it vigorously. Conversely,the drill bit can be removed.

Check whether the radial run-out of the bit is intact before use. The bit with large radial run-out cannot be used. Check the sharpness of the drill bit. The drill body
should be fixed during drilling without loosening according to conventional surgicl methods.

The drill bit must be firmly fixed well with drill chuck key to avoid accidents. Products and accessories should be placed in a dry place to prevent corrosion after use.


The battery shall not be disinfected by high temperature,high pressure or stay in the machine for a long time, take out battery after the operation. If power is cut off during the operation (the power tools handpiece does not work), the backup battery should be replaced immediately.   

If there is abnormal sound when using,stop using it immediately. Please contact AMIS orthopedic immediately and return the machine to us for repairing.

Charge the battery immediately after use.If the battery is not used, charge it every three months to prevent battery loss.

We know you need your equipment back quickly to keep the cases on schedule, so we work on your repairs with a sense of urgency.  Turnaround times vary based on the amount of damage:

  • 24-48 hours for minor repairs
  • 3-4 days for more severe damage or complete rebuilds
  • Exception:flexible scopes and power tools with extensive damage

Damaged equipment (instruments, rigid or flexible scopes, power tools, cameras, etc.) is sent to our lab and evaluated by qualified technicians.  Many of our existing customers pre-approve repairs which allows for the shortest tray downtime possible.  For customers without a pre-approval agreement, a quotation will be provided with a breakdown of repair work required, price and estimated delivery prior to any work commencing.  Your approval and purchase order allows us to complete the repair and return to you in a timely manner.

If you have asked us to evaluate an item for repair and our technical team goes through a complete evaluation to determine the time and materials and then you decline the repair, you need only pay the cost of freight to and from your facility.

We return your equipment with a “no problem found” to your facility with no charge for our diagnostic work. You pay only the freight charges to and from our company.
